Sting Capture OCAA Championship

The Women's Indoor Soccer team defeated the Centennial Colts 1-1 (3-0) in penalty kicks to capture the OCAA Championship.

Christina Diaco stopped all four Colts attempts during penalty kicks while being named OCAA Championship Most Valuable Player.

The Sting fell behind midway through the first half, but scored the equalizer in the 33rd minute. A Sting corner kick led to Mya Parr striking the ball towards the Colts' goal. The goalkeeper was unable to control the shot and Cordeiro was there to even the match.

Ella Pragnell and Cordeiro scored in the second and their rounds respectively for the Sting, setting the stage for Bekah Lee to close out the championship. Lee wasted little time striking a shot to the left side, setting off a celebration which saw the Sting pile on top of Diaco near the goal.

Cordeiro and Lee were each named an OCAA Championship All-Star while the Sting captured their first championship since 2023-24.
