The Seneca Sting have been selected to host the 2018 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Women's Soccer Championship October 25-27, 2018.
Eight of the conference's top teams will compete for supremacy in a tournament-style format. Four matches will be contested on Thursday with the four winners advancing to the semi-final and the remaining four teams moving on to the consolation side of the bracket. The championship semi-final and consolation semi-final games will be played on Friday with the winners advancing to their respective final matches. The two losing teams from the championship semi-final will play on Saturday for the OCAA bronze medal.
One of the stronger programs at Seneca, the Sting have medalled at three of the past five OCAA Championships, capturing gold in 2014-15, as well as reaching the bronze medal game each of the past two seasons. Overall, the Sting have won three OCAA Championships (1990-91, 1995-96, 2014-15) and finished with a medal seven times.
The Sting have lost just one home game in their last 41 contests, a 2-0 decision to the Algonquin Thunder on September 16, 2017.
