Pedulla's Hat Trick Powers Sting

The Seneca Sting (6-1-0) defeated the Loyalist Lancers (0-6-2) 9-0, powered by a hat trick from Francesca Pedulla.

Bianca Granta opened the scoring the for the Sting in the 2nd minute, finding her way through the Lancers' defenders before sending a shot into the far corner for her first goal of the season.

Pedulla scored her first of the game in the 31st minute before adding a second in the 43rd minute. Brianna Lena also scored for the Sting in the 38th minute between Pedulla's first two tallies.

In the 46th minute, Aprilyn Covello made it 5-0 for the Sting before Pedulla completed the hat trick in the 55th minute. It was the second consecutive game that Pedulla recorded a hat trick, notching one yesterday against the St. Lawrence Vikings.

Jamie Smith scored her first goal of the season in the 58th minute on a penalty kick after Pedulla was dragged down in the box.

A goal by Jocelyne Vasquez in the 65th minute and Korina Lyte in the 77th minute completed the scoring.

Anjelica Cardarelli and Ali Miller shared the shut out for the Sting.
