The Seneca Sting fell to the Conestoga Condors Wednesday night in the first game of their doubleheader 8-0.
The Condors opened the scoring in the first inning with a pair of runs before adding two more in the third inning, one in the fourth inning and three in the sixth inning.
Laura Rumph, Cassidy Wettlaufer and Kayla Gammie each had two hits for the Condors while Rumph scored three times. Samantha MacPherson-Rossi and Wettlaufer each scored twice for the Condors who outhit the Sting ten to five.
Brianne Ghaney and Brianna Bader each had two hits for the Sting in three plate appearances. Bader also added a walk. Brooklyn Armstrong had the other Sting hit, a single in the sixth inning.
Mary Kate Allen picked up the win for the Condors, pitching seven innings while allowing five hits, recording six strikeouts and walking two batters. Bader took the loss for the Sting, throwing seven innings while allowing ten hits, eight runs (four earned), striking out three batters and walking two.
