The Seneca Sting (4-0) defeated the Sault Cougars (1-4) 9-0, powered by a hat trick by Sona Makulova.

With rain soaking the field, Jordan Burke opened the scoring in the 13th minute for her second goal of the season.

The Cougars were able to prevent the Sting from adding to their lead until midway through the first half. Olivia Lamacchia (27th minute) and Makulova (32nd minute) provided the Sting with a three goal lead.

Coming out of halftime, the Sting notched a pair of goals in the opening minutes as Emma Genova (46th minute) and Milinda Roblero (47th minute) found the back of the net.

Carley Uddenberg scored her second goal of the season in the 63rd minute before Makulova notched a pair of goals a minute apart. Makulova now has six goals on the season to lead the Sting.

Michela Panzica completed the scoring in the 83rd minute with her second goal of the season.

Raven Edwards-Dowdall picked up the shutout for the Sting, making two saves.

The Sting had 23 shots on goal to just 2 by the Cougars. The Sting held an 8 to 1 advantage in corner kicks.
