Sting Pick Up First Win

The Seneca Sting picked up their first win of the season, defeating the La Cité Coyotes in four sets 25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23.

Leading the way for the Sting was Ehsan Ghazanfari who had his best match as a Sting, finishing with 12 kills to go along with 11 digs. Ghazanfari recorded nearly half of the Sting's kills (12-of-27) as the home side was aided by 27 attack errors by the Coyotes.

Lior Mospan controlled the offense, finishing with 21 assists while also relying on Zachary Orat (6 kills) in their attack.

The Sting were willing to sit back and rely on their defense to beat the Coyotes, finishing with 67 digs as a team as David Blom (18 digs), Mospan (16 digs) and Ghazanfari all reached double digits.

The Coyotes were led by Donnic Baker who finished with 11 kills and 10 digs. Nicolas Belliveau added 9 kills and Mikael Gareau had 33 assists and 13 digs.
