The Fitness Centre at Seneca@York is a student facility that offers a powerful line of resistance training
equipment including free weights, recumbent bikes, stairmasters, elliptical cross-trainers, a 160 metre jogging
track and group fitness classes. Free access to the fitness centre is available to all full-time students.
Fitness Memberships are available to all full-time faculty and staff. In order to register, please drop by the
recreation centre and meet our dynamic fitness centre staff. The Centre is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
to 9 p.m.

Spinning
Our spinning classes are based on the original and most popular spinning program. The class possesses a motivating
group environment, certified instructors and music that begin your legs to pedal. Try our class to help you get
closer to a leaner, stronger body.
Mondays 1:30pm - 2:15pm
Combat Fitness
This 5 week course is designed to give the participants an introduction to the martial arts, specifically through
kick-boxing and basic self defence. Through individual and partner based drills, students will learn the basics of
punching and kicking as it is implemented in standard western boxing/kickboxing tournament style fighting. In
addition to this, students will also work together to examine real-life combat scenarios and execute practical
self-defence solutions.

Ab Blast
The Ab Blast class will strengthen, flatten and tone your core revealing your inner six or three-pack. It is an
advanced workout, but can be modified for the participant who is just starting to exercise. When seriously working
the abdominals, it is important to add challenge and variety, so the class will use many different techniques to
work this important part of the body's functionally and safety. This class is excellent for anyone who has back
problems.

This is for people of all shapes, sizes and athletic experience. Sign up in the gym for this 8 week program.
